For the second time since Will Muschamp was fired at South Carolina, Louisville coach Scott Satterfield has publicly stated his plans to stay with the Cardinals.

Just over a week ago, Satterfield addressed his reported interest in taking the South Carolina job.

“While I am flattered my name was associated with another job I have not pursued or sought out any offers. I am the head coach at the University of Louisville,” Satterfield previously wrote regarding reports he was pursuing the South Carolina job.

Following his latest meeting with South Carolina, the Louisville coach has once again denied interest in becoming the next Gamecock coach.

“I have no intention of leaving Louisville,” Satterfield said in an exclusive interview with the Courier-Journal.

Satterfield is currently in his second season with Louisville. Before landing that position, he served as head coach of Appalachian State. Satterfield played for Appalachian State and is a North Carolina native.

He had a 51-25 overall record at the school and is currently 11-12 at Louisville. Satterfield was named ACC Coach of the Year in 2019 but his team is just 3-7 this season.
