South Carolina fans have reason to celebrate Friday night as the Gamecocks will head into the evening up 1-0 in the opening round of the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

The Gamecocks beat Virginia 4-3 thanks to a three-run six inning.

Julian Bosnic earned the win on the mound after pitching 3.2 innings, giving up three hits, two walks, one run while striking out two Virginia batters while Daniel Lloyd earned a save by pitching three scoreless innings for South Carolina.

South Carolina will take the field tomorrow from Columbia for its second game of the NCAA Tournament.
