South Carolina cracks top 8 for top-200 prospect in Class of 2024

South Carolina has remained a top target for Class of 2024 4-star ATH Daniel Hill for some time now. On Sunday evening, Hill included the Gamecocks in his most recent top schools list.
Hill is a top-200 prospect in the class, rated as the No. 196 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He hails from Meridian HS in Mississippi and stands at 6-1, 220 pounds. He plays a variety of positions from running back to receiver, quarterback and so on for MHS.
The Gamecocks are the projected favorites for Hill, holding a crystal ball from 3 separate South Carolina 247Sports insiders. Hill is set for an official visit to Columbia on June 23. Alabama and Tennessee are others to watch out for in his recruitment.
Hill included Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Mississippi State, Auburn, Michigan and Penn State alongside the Gamecocks.

In addition to being a top-200 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, Hill is considered to be the No. 16 overall ATH and the No. 7 player out of Mississippi, via 247Sports’ composite rankings.
