Spencer Rattler has previously played both sides of his 2024 decision, and now he has reached a conclusion.

Rattler at South Carolina finished with a record of 13-12, and passed for 6,212 yards, 37 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. His best game as the South Carolina was the major upset against Tennessee last year, when he threw for 438 yards and 6 touchdowns.

His 6,212 career passing yards at USC rank fifth all-time behind Todd Ellis, Steve Taneyhill, Stephen Garcia and Jake Bentley.

In a lengthy statement, Rattler thanked coach Shane Beamer, offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, his teammates, the city of Columbia and “the best fan base in college football each and every weekend.”

“I will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft,” Rattler wrote. “This has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid and cannot wait for the chance to turn my dream into reality. Forever to Thee!”

Rattler could have stayed and played one more year of college football because of the extra year of eligibility, and even pointed that out in a recent press conference. But ultimately chose to chase his NFL dream.
