Deebo Samuel was South Carolina’s top offensive playmaker before he was injured against Kentucky.

Samuel, a junior wide receiver, broke a leg against Kentucky, but is still tied for the SEC lead in all-purpose yardage per game at 158 yards. He also had two kickoff returns for touchdowns to start the season.

While coach Will Muschamp said Samuel is progressing with therapy and bone stimulation, but he won’t consider Samuel’s return for about a month. Though there is an outside chance he could return this season.

The coach also said linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams would have shoulder surgery Wednesday morning.
