Deion Sanders is off and rolling in Boulder, turning around a Colorado program that was most recently 1-11 during the 2022 season.

Through 3 weeks of the season, Sanders — AKA “Coach Prime” — has taken the college football world by storm. His Buffs program is also 3-0 and has already been featured on multiple editions of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff, a Week 3 visit from ESPN’s College GameDay and a special airing of ESPN’s First Take.

The off-field chatter has come as Sanders and the Buffaloes started the season with a 3-0 mark. That stretch included eye-popping numbers in an upset against TCU, a solid win over Nebraska and a thrilling 2-OT victory against rival Colorado State.

As a result, Sanders is looking to capitalize with a number of trademark filings. According to trademark attorney Josh Gerben, Sanders filed 4 separate trademarks on Monday.

Those filings include “Coach Prime,” “Prime Effect,” “Daddy Buck” and “It’s Personal.” Gerben indicated those filings are seeking to protect these trademarks for a clothing brand, production company and coaching services.

“Coach Prime” and the “Prime Effect” have been commonly thrown about while “Daddy Buck” is a bit more uncommon. “It’s Personal” has become a sort of rallying cry for the program during early-season moments with Colorado taking umbrage at certain media narratives and comments from rival coaches Matt Rhule and Jay Norvell.
