Mike Norvell missing Jordan Travis? Fans roast FSU coach, offense on social media
Mike Norvell is having a rough start to the 2024 season.
Norvell’s Florida State squad began the season No. 10 in the AP Top 25, but that is certain to change with FSU’s Week 0 loss to Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland. (The Associated Press did not release a new Top 25 after Week 0.)
The blowout loss to Georgia to end the 2023 season and the season-opening loss to Georgia Tech has Florida State on a 2-game losing skid. The Seminoles look to be in danger of extending it to 3 games if things don’t change in Tallahassee.
Florida State is a double-digit home favorite against Boston College. Into the 2nd quarter, Bill O’Brien’s Boston College squad has dominated Norvell’s Noles.
On social media, jokes are flying about Norvell missing Jordan Travis. Norvell signed DJ Uiagalelei. The quarterback, often referred to as “DJ U,” did not impress in the Week 0 loss. DJ U and the FSU offense got off to a rough start again, particularly on the opening possessions.

Mike Norvell really watched DJ U’s career unfold and said yep, that’s our guy to replace Jordan Travis.
And you idiots ranked them no. 10.

Norvell’s team has plenty of time to turn things around. But at the moment, FSU trails Boston College 14-3 in the 2nd quarter. The game is airing on ESPN.
