Paul Finebaum has seen enough.

As other Heisman Trophy candidates have struggled down the stretch (or gotten injured in the unfortunate case of Hendon Hooker), USC QB Caleb Williams has continued to dominate.

On Saturday night against Notre Dame, Williams not only threw for 232 yards and a score in a big win that kept the Trojans’ College Football Playoff hopes alive — he also ran for 35 yards and 3 touchdowns.

On Sunday morning, Finebaum appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter and declared the USC QB the Heisman winner:

“I’ve never been one for hyperbole, but lock it up. It’s over,” Finebaum said. “He (Caleb Williams) has won the Heisman Trophy here this morning on the program. Really, he’s been doing it all year. Let’s not forget this is a young guy who was at Oklahoma a year ago and followed Lincoln Riley out West. That turned out to be a pretty good coaching hire, as he brought some of the key players and put them in the right spot. Now, Southern Cal is not only in Playoff contention. Short of just an absolute disaster in the championship game, I think we have a Heisman Trophy winner 2 weeks early.”

Will Caleb Williams indeed win the prestigious award? At the very least, he seems to have locked up a spot at the Heisman ceremony in New York City in a couple of weeks.
