Texas has had a forgettable season in Steve Sarkisian’s first campaign as head coach in Austin.

In the regular season finale against Kansas State, there were large sections of empty seats at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium.

It’s been a steep fall for Texas, as the Longhorns were once ranked No. 15 in the country and is now in a six-game spiral under Sarkisian after a 4-1 start.

The Longhorns got off to a good start in the game on Friday with an opening touchdown, and then they stopped the Wildcats.

The broadcasters on FOX Sports even mentioned that the crowd had a bit of a sarcastic cheer when the Texas defense stopped Kansas State on its first series. But it didn’t last long as Texas saw its next drive end with an interception.
