Tom Brady has jumped on the Shedeur Sanders hype train.

After leading Colorado on a 98-yard drive in the final 2 minutes to force overtime, the Buffaloes quarterback said he was thinking of the NFL legend.

“All I was thinking was Brady mode,” Sanders said in his postgame interview. “Brady mode, that’s it. They left too much time out there.”

Sanders acknowledged Brady as a mentor and said the retired QB would probably be texting him after the game. Brady decided to publicly react to the shoutout with high praise.

On X, formerly Twitter, Brady responded with simple emojis.

Brady took things further on Instagram, saying he hopes to go “Shedeur mode” at some point, adding a laughing emoji (so don’t expect him to unretire again).

Brady plans to join FOX as an NFL broadcaster in 2024. He’ll likely get the opportunity to call some of Sanders’ games.

Ahead of Colorado’s game against Colorado State, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported on Sanders being talked about as QB3 on NFL Draft boards. He noted that more than 20 scouts are expected to be in Boulder when the Buffaloes face a USC team led by reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.
