Travis Hunter turned in a performance for the ages to help Colorado defeat Cincinnati.
Hunter is not only a 2-way player, but one of the key players on both sides of the ball. On Saturday night, Hunter posted career highs of 153 receiving yards and 4 pass breakups. He did so playing every defensive snap and only missing 3 offensive snaps.

– 132 snaps (all 61 on defense, 68 of 71 on offense)
– 153 receiving yards (career high), fifth 100-yard receiving performance this season
– 4 pass breakups (career high)
– 2 touchdowns (both offense)— Adam Rittenberg (@ESPNRittenberg) October 27, 2024

Thanks to Hunter, Shedeur Sanders and others, Colorado defeated Cincinnati 34-23. It’s the sixth win of the season for Deion Sanders’ squad, making the Buffaloes bowl eligible for the first time since 2016.
In 8 games, Hunter now has 60 catches for 757 yards and 8 touchdowns. Defensively, he has 21 tackles (1 TFL), 7 pass breakups, 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble.
Is Hunter’s resume enough to win a Heisman Trophy? The award has been dominated by quarterbacks in recent years. Alabama’s DeVonta Smith was the last receiver to win the award. Charles Woodson won in 1997 as a cornerback who occasionally lined up on offense. The latest Heisman odds have Dillon Gabriel and Cam Ward ahead of Hunter entering November.
