Demani Richardson delivered one of the biggest plays in a series of big momentum shifts for Texas A&M on Saturday night.

The Aggies defensive back intercepted a Bryce Young pass in the end zone on third down as Texas A&M prevented a would-be touchdown. It preserved the Aggies’ early 10-point lead. It ended a seven-play, 74-yard drive for Alabama, as Richardson returned for 3 yards.

Overall, the Aggies defense had a strong start against Alabama and held the Crimson Tide to 56 rushing yards into the second quarter. It put Alabama in an unusual position, as the 17-7 deficit against Texas A&M was the first time Alabama trailed by double digits since the 2019 season against LSU.
