Texas A&M reaches into Fayetteville, lands commitment from No. 1 prospect from Arkansas
For the third year in a row, Texas A&M has landed the No. 1 prospect from the state of Arkansas.
Dreyden Norwood was the top prospect from the Natural State in the 2021 class, Chris Morris in the 2020 class. Both signed with the Aggies.
This time, it’s four-star receiver and track star Isaiah Sategna that has committed to Jimbo Fisher’s Aggie program. Sategna picked Texas A&M over Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Oregon and USC, among others.
As if losing the state’s top prospect wasn’t bad enough, Sategna is from Fayetteville and his father, Mario, is a member of the Razorback track and field team. His mother, Dahlia, ran track for LSU and advanced all the way to the 1992 Olympics.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Sategna has caught 76 passes for 1,514 yards and nine touchdowns combined during his sophomore and junior seasons at Fayetteville High School. He’s rated as the No. 1 overall prospect from Arkansas and the No. 36 receiver in the country for the 2022 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.
