Shemar Stewart is 1 of the better players in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he could find his name being called at some point in the first round. Now is the time where players start to promote themselves and tell teams why they should take him, and nobody is doing that better than Stewart is right now.
“If I was a GM I would take me with the highest pick you’ve got,” Stewart said. “You don’t wanna miss this.”
There’s been no shortage of pre-draft buzz around the 6-foot-6, 290-pound Texas A&M standout. Stewart had a big year last season, finishing with 31 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble this past season for the Aggies.
He has all of the potential to be a big time player in the NFL, but there are concerns on his motor and how his game translates to the next level. Once again, Stewart said that isn’t an issue at all.
“I am everything people say I’m not. People say I can’t pass rush. People say I’m not physical. People say I can’t make plays. So that’s what I’m here to do,” Stewart said, per On3. “I’m not going to get mad. I’m not going to get mad about criticism, you know. All I’ve gotta do is just get better.”
