Jones is a true college football veteran. He played 44 games at Central Michigan, starting most of them. Across that time the 6-2 corner totaled 188 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 8 pass deflections. This past season Jones finished with 66 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 2 pass deflections and 1 interception.
This marks Texas A&M’s 5th addition out of the transfer portal since it opened on December 4. Jones represents the 2nd defensive back addition out of the portal for Texas A&M, joining former Kansas State CB Will Lee.
The Aggies have also added former Old Dominion WR Javon Harvey, former Youngstown State LB Alex Howard and former LA Tech WR Cyrus Allen.
