The Texas A&M Aggies hosted a struggling Mizzou squad in College Station on Saturday afternoon, with both teams needing a win to stay afloat in SEC play.

However, the Aggies looked sluggish from the opening tip, and ended up falling to the Tigers in convincing fashion by a score of 66-43.

After the game, which saw the Aggies fall to 1-4 in SEC play and 7-9 overall, coach Billy Kennedy apologized to fans and questioned his team’s effort. Here’s a sampling of what he had to say:

Junior F Josh Nebo led the way for the Aggies, scoring 12 points. Meanwhile, the Tigers were led by PG Jordan Geist, who had a game-high 17 points in the Mizzou victory.

The Aggies have a trip to Florida and then host a tough Kansas State squad in the SEC-Big 12 showdown in the next week, so things could get worse before they get better.
