Texas A&M lands veteran wide receiver out of transfer portal
Texas A&M grabbed a veteran wide receiver from the transfer portal for its 2024 season.
Javon Harvey, a junior receiver who played for Old Dominion the past 3 seasons, announced on Monday afternoon that he’s heading to the Aggies for the 2024 campaign.

Harvey had 29 receptions for 391 yards during the 2023 season for the Monarchs. He tied with teammate Dominic Dutton for most touchdown receptions with four.
In 3 seasons with Old Dominion, Harvey compiled 70 catches for 1,063 yards and 8 scores.
Harvey was part of a Monarchs squad that went 6-6 in 2023. The team is scheduled to face Western Kentucky (7-5) in the Famous Toastery Bowl Dec. 18 at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Harvey’s new team, the Aggies, went 7-5 during the regular season. Texas A&M is set to take on No. 20 Oklahoma in the Texas Bowl at 9 p.m. on Dec. 27 on ESPN.
After a 4-4 start, the Aggies went 3-2 down the stretch to become bowl eligible. The team’s best receiver, senior Ainias Smith, had 53 receptions for 795 yards and two TDs. Sophomore Evan Stewart, who had 38 catches fo 514 yards on the season, led the Aggies in receiving TDs with 4.
