Texas A&M is gearing up for one of the most anticipated games in program history. On Saturday, the Aggies will also be going with a classic uniform combination inside Kyle Field.

The game in question involves in-state rival Texas in a game that used to be played annually with 118 all-time meetings. Unfortunately, the series fell by the wayside after 2011 when the Aggies joined the SEC from the Big 12.

Now, the rivalry is returning for the first time, and Kyle Field will host the renewal on Saturday. It shapes up to be an iconic environment and matchup, and A&M will be going with its classic maroon helmets and maroon jerseys on top of white pants for the showdown.

Here’s how the Aggies revealed the threads on Thanksgiving night:

Texas holds the all-time series lead with a 76-37-5 mark against the Aggies, and the Longhorns won the most recent meeting 27-25 in College Station. And, if the renewing of the rivalry isn’t enough, the two sides are playing for a spot in the SEC Championship Game.

A&M head coach Mike Elko has already set his expectations for an all-time setting inside Kyle Field Saturday night. With a primetime kickoff set for 7:30 pm ET, and College GameDay in town, it’s unlikely he’ll disappointed in this one.
