As it appears Tennessee coach Butch Jones is safe for one more week, Florida coach Jim McElwain is now potentially on the hottest seat in the SEC.

However, as the Gators try to figure out what to do with their embattled coach, the Vols rumors are still swirling, as there are plenty of Grumors involving former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden.

There was an interesting tidbit in a story by The Read Optional on McElwain’s status, revealing that sources have said Tennessee is offering Gruden a huge sum of money to coach the Vols

“Sources have confirmed to The Read Optional reports from elsewhere that Tennessee has offered over $10 million a year to Jon Gruden,” the report states.

Is any coach really worth $10 million? The Vols clearly think Gruden is, even though he hasn’t coached in nearly 10 years at any level.

Would the current Monday Night Football analyst leave the booth to come to Knoxville? Those familiar with the situation seem to think the Vols will do everything they can to find out.
