A former Tennessee player apparentlyย was in the room whenย the incident between Peyton Manning and Jamie Naughright took place on Feb. 29, 1996.

Volsย linebacker Greg Johnson, once a roommate of Manning’s, told The Monday Morning Quarterbackย on Wednesday that he didn’t see Manning place his buttocks, rectum, testicles and โ€œarea in between testiclesโ€ on her face as Naughright has claimed.

Johnson said when he entered the room, Manning was leaning on a training table with one elbow as Naughright was examiningย his foot from behind.

โ€œSaxon walks in, and Peyton was the kind of guy who had to be friendly with everyone; he wanted to include everyone, from his teammates to the cross country guy. He saysย heyย to Saxon and pulls down the back of his shorts, and I saw one butt cheek, and then he pulled his pants up. And Jamie said something like, โ€˜Aw, youโ€™re an ass.โ€™ Then I left. Thought nothing of it.โ€

Johnson said contact didn’t occur while he was present in the room. Manning has denied those accusations from the former Tennessee trainer as well.

โ€œIt just didnโ€™t happen,โ€ Johnsonย said. โ€œLater someone in the administration asked me what happened. They asked if Peyton mooned somebody. They saidย you canโ€™t do that with a female trainer present. Next thing I know, Peyton is banned from the chow hall. He took his punishment; as 20-year-olds we understood that you canโ€™t do that.โ€
