Former Tennessee WR Robert Meachem spent six of his seven NFL seasons with the New Orleans Saints, making some big contributions to the team.

Now, it appears he’s staying in the area, getting his coaching career started with a big New Orleans high school.

Per Sean Fazende of FOX 8, Meachem will be the new WR coach on the De La Salle High School coaching staff:

Meachem had a huge 2006 season for the Vols, catching 71 passes for 1,298 yards and 11 touchdowns. In seven NFL seasons, he had 2,914 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns.

De La Salle made the Louisiana Division II state title game two years ago.
