The Tennessee Volunteers kick off SEC play next weekend when the Florida Gators come to Neyland Stadium.

The Vols are sitting at 2-1 at the moment, with wins over UTEP and ETSU and a loss to West Virginia on their resume.

Ahead of the rivalry game with the Gators, coach Jeremy Pruitt called on Vol Nation to show up and be loud to make things difficult on the opposing team. During his radio show, he said he wants it to be so loud that the Gators can’t hear anything (via KnoxNews.com):

“When Florida’s got the ball, I bet you they can’t hear with the way our fans (are), because our fans are going to be ready for this game, I can tell you that,” Pruitt said during Sunday’s airing of the “Jeremy Pruitt Show.”

“We can make it hard for those guys to operate, so it’ll definitely be an advantage. I think everybody that’s associated with the University of Tennessee and this program has got to be excited about playing the Gators.”

Neyland Stadium hasn’t had much reason to be loud the past couple of years, but things seem to be slowly improving under Pruitt.

See if the Vols can pull off a win over their SEC East rivals on Saturday at 7 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN.
