Tennessee’s offseason quarterback competition may have just gotten more interesting as the Volunteers have reportedly added a signal-caller with starting experience at the Power Five level.

Former Michigan quarterback Joe Milton has arrived on Rocky Top and is listed in the current student directory at Tennessee. This news was first reported by Volquest.

Milton arrived in Ann Arbor after being selected as an Elite 11 Finalist out of Olympia High School in Florida. He was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 9 pro-style passer in the country in the 2018 recruiting cycle.

He started five games last season for Michigan, completing 80 of 141 attempts for 1,077 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions for the Wolverines. In February, Milton made the decision to transfer from Michigan after his three seasons with the program.

He has two seasons of eligibility remaining, with the possibility of a third if he takes a free season of eligibility offered by the NCAA for the 2020 COVID season.

For what it’s worth, Milton posted this tweet on Monday morning:
