Josh Dobbs has made a statement to the NFL and to Minnesota. He’s here to win.

The former Tennessee QB was traded to Minnesota last week after usual starter Kirk Cousins went down with a season-ending injury. Dobbs was having a strong season filling in for Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray. But the first time in his NFL career, Dobbs has some real weapons.

And he’s showing out. On Sunday Dobbs led Minnesota on a monster game-winning touchdown drive to win Minnesota the game, 31-28 over Atlanta.

A pair of big plays stand out.

Here’s the first. Facing 4th and 7, Dobbs scrambled in the backfield, shedding tacklers and turning what should have been a loss and turnover on downs into an enormous gain.

And here’s the payoff. Dobbs found WR Brandon Powell for the go-ahead score with under 30 seconds remaining:

Dobbs finished Sunday afternoon with 158 passing yards with 2 touchdowns, as well as 66 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown. He was 20-for-30 on the afternoon with no interceptions.
