Kirk Herbstreit has Tennessee ranked as his No. 1 team in the nation after throttling Kentucky 44-6.

College GameDay has now been to Knoxville twice, and Herbstreit has seen the Vols in person multiple times. On Saturday morning during College GameDay, Herbstreit ranked Ohio State as the nation’s No. 1 team. That was before it struggled with Penn State. Now, he’s singing a different tune, as he ranked the Volunteers as his top team after witnessing Neyland Stadium at night in the win over the Wildcats.

The ESPN analyst took to Twitter following the game to heap the praise on the Volunteers and Neyland Stadium.

“Cover the whole country-Neyland Stadium is as HYPED as any stadium I’ve been in. This @Vol_Football offense is terrifying but don’t sleep on that defense-played their best game of the year. But the stadium-game ops-crowd-and the passion is INSANE. It’s ON next week in Athens!” Herbstreit tweeted.

Next week, everyone has Tennessee’s game at Georgia circled. When the College Football Playoff rankings are released Tuesday night, it will likely be No. 1 vs. No. 2 Saturday.

CBS Sports will broadcast the game from Athens at 3:30 p.m. ET.
