Kirk Herbstreit has revealed his list of college football coaches who impressed him the most in Week 4.
The veteran analyst and commentator always showcases his most impressive players and coaches after every week of action. Herbstreit included 7 coaches this week, including Tennessee’s Josh Heupel.
Here are my top performing coaches of WEEK 4:
Sherrone Moore @UMichFootball
Josh Heupel @Vol_Football
Bret Bielema @IlliniFootball
Kalani Sitake @BYUfootball
Adam Fuller DC @FSUFootball
Rhett Lashlee SMU @SMUFB

Heupel led his Tennessee team to Norman to take on Oklahoma in what was an emotional reunion for the coach.
As a player, Heupel quarterbacked the Sooners to a BCS National Championship in 2000. Heupel then coached in various roles for the Sooners before being fired in 2014.
In Heupel’s return to Norman, his Volunteers dominated and came away with a 25-15 win. The Tennessee defense stifled the Oklahoma offense, allowing just 222 total yards and collecting 11 tackles for loss.

At the No. 1 spot on Herbstreit’s list was Michigan HC Sherrone Moore. Moore led the Michigan Wolverines to an impressive home conference victory against USC. Heupel took the No. 2 spot on the list.
At No. 3 was Illinois HC Bret Bielema who led the Fighting Illini to a win over Nebraska. The 4th slot went to BYU HC Kalani Sitake whose Cougars earned a surprising blowout victory over Kansas State.
Florida State defensive coordinator Adam Fuller earned the No. 5 spot. Fuller’s defense held the Cal Golden Bears to just 9 points and racked up 7 sacks. SMU HC Rhett Lashlee got the No. 6 spot after his team destroyed TCU.
Finally, Utah DC Morgan Scalley was the last coach to be selected. Scalley’s defense held Oklahoma State to 285 total yards of offense.
Heupel is the real deal – an offensive genius. He went right at Venables’ strength – his vaunted D-line. He kept pounding the rock. Players want to play for a coach like that, not one who consistently does less with more. Choking isn’t glamorous.
Tim Banks should have also made the list.
