Tennessee head coach Butch Jones may not be on the hot seat, but he is definitely feeling uncomfortable after Saturday’s performance by the Volunteers.

Tennessee’s offense struggled for much of the game against Florida Saturday afternoon. QB Quinten Dormady threw three interceptions, including one pick-six and another in the red zone, and two Vols kickers combined for three missed field goals on the day.

The Vols managed just three points through the first three quarters of action. Still, a goal line fumble by Florida and a gutsy performance by RB John Kelly helped Tennessee battle back and tie the game at 20 with just under a minute to play. Then this happened.

Jones and the Volunteers should certainly receive credit for never quitting and managing to tie the game late, but there were too many missed chances left on the field for Tennessee. Tennessee’s performance will leave fans wanting more, and someone even decided to put out a job opening for a new head coach in Knoxville.

Here is a screenshot of the job opening that was shared by RedditCFB on Twitter:

Tennessee still has time to post a strong season with Jones at the helm, but the coach’s seat is certainly a bit uncomfortable after the tough loss to Florida.
