Missouri will have a tall task to get back to .500 when they travel to take on No. 5 Tennessee on Saturday. However, Missouri quarterback Brady Cook is projecting confidence that the underdog Tigers can topple the Vols.

Cook believes Missouri has the mental resolve to withstand the challenge and the raucous atmosphere at Neyland Stadium.

“We’re battle tested,” Cook said. “I think we’ll handle it just fine.”

Cook will have to bring his A game for Missouri to have any chance at an upset. The sophomore has been uneven this season, passing for 1,795 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. In Missouri’s last game, a 21-17 loss against Kentucky, Cook went 18-for-26 with no touchdowns and no interceptions and was sacked twice.

The loss snapped a 2-game winning streak Missouri built with victories vs. Vanderbilt and then No. 25 South Carolina.

Meanwhile, Tennessee is aiming to complete its home slate undefeated and avoid a losing streak. Tennessee is coming off a 27-13 loss against then No. 3 Georgia.

ESPN analytics gives Tennessee a 92.8 chance of victory against Missouri. The all-time series is tied at 5 and Tennessee has won the last 3 games in the matchup.
