Peyton Manning set the Internet on fire during Wednesday night’s ESPY awards.
Manning and his somewhat dry humor are hosting the ESPY awards, and he had some fun with Kevin Durant during the opening monologue. Durant, of course, left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors and won a championship this year. So, naturally, Manning was going to throw a joke his way.
And let’s just say it wasn’t too well received.
“Our gymnastics team was so dominant that Kevin Durant told me he wants to play for them next year. And I’ve got to tell you, you wouldn’t start for that team, Kevin. Russell Westbrook, what do you think?”
The look on Kevin Durant’s face when Manning burned him was screaming, “I’ll rip your soul out, Manning.” Westbrook didn’t seem to like it either.
