The Tennessee Volunteers are getting ready to play the West Virginia Mountaineers in their 2018 season opener in Charlotte.

Ahead of the game, people are wondering who first-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt will name as his starting quarterback.

Per CBS’s Jamie Erdahl, the incumbent starter, Jarrett Guarantano, has gotten the nod over Stanford graduate transfer Keller Chryst:

Pruitt has been tight-lipped about the quarterback competition all summer long, so it’s good to finally have some answers.

Now, we’ll see if Guarantano, who made six starts last season, has what it takes to hold onto the job for the entire 2018 season. If not, Chryst will be waiting to take over.
