Riley Ferguson has had an eventful ride as a college player.

The QB originally committed to and enrolled at Tennessee in 2013, but his stay in Knoxville did not last long as he left the program in the summer of 2014. His departure was an odd one without much of an announcement or explanation.

Since that time, Ferguson has spent time at a JUCO before heading to Memphis where he is having a strong showing. Ferguson has 1,535 yards passing with 16 TDs in five games this year. He finished 2016 with 3,698 yards and 32 TDs.

Ferguson is making the most out of his second chance, and his father took to social media to get in a shot at Tennessee over the weekend.

Andrew Darago shared a screenshot of the comments to Twitter:

Things are pretty ugly for Butch Jones and Tennessee this season, but it is still an odd shot at the program after the way that Ferguson left.
