SEC Shorts was tuned into the College Football Playoff action, and that was a disappointing weekend for Tennessee fans. To recap, the popular comedy show dropped an episode on Monday morning chronicling the disastrous defeat that Josh Heupel and the Volunteers took in Columbus.

The episode begins with a group of fans preparing to head out for the game at Ohio Stadium with an in-house fortune-telling Balltar machine. The Vol contingent gathers around to ask some questions about the upcoming game with a hopeful aura ahead of kickoff.

“How bad of a beatdown are we about to watch?” is the question the Vols want to know. Balltar responds by saying Rocky Top will indeed be blaring through the stadium speakers but leaves out that it will be to troll how bad the Vols actually played.

The group of Tennessee fans also joke that it’s wild that Vegas had Ohio State favored by more than a touchdown, something Balltar admits was way off after the Vols lost by 25 points.

An SEC chant also gets a scoff from Balltar before informing the fans it will not be a good night, drawing incredulous looks from the fans. Baltar also explains it was a performance so bad the CFP committee is reconsidering how it selects teams moving forward.

The performance was also so bad the Vols singlehandedly set back the SEC dominance argument. But fortunately the fans try to boost their spirits by focusing on the overall recent successes of the program and turning their attention to hoops season.

It’s certainly not the outcome Tennessee was hoping for in Columbus, but SEC Shorts still delivered an awesome episode. Check it out:
