Former Vols players react to Tee Martin returning to Tennessee to join coaching staff
It’s been a long time coming, but Tee Martin and Tennessee are reuniting once again.
The legendary Vols QB led UT to a national championship in the undefeated 1998 season, and now, he returns to give the Vols recruiting efforts another shot in the arm. Martin most recently was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at USC (2016-18), and he previously had stops at Kentucky, New Mexico and Atlanta-area high schools. He brings play-calling experience and is a strong recruiting addition in the Southeast.
It’s unclear what position Martin will take on the Vols staff, as the details are still being finalized, but just the mere fact that he’s returning to Knoxville helps reignite a fan base and program.
