Tennessee defender reportedly enters name into NCAA transfer portal
Tennessee’s depth in the secondary may be taking a hit.
Matt Zenitz of AL.com is reporting that Terrell Bailey has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. Entering the portal does not bound Bailey to leave the program, but does allow other teams to begin recruiting him and host him on campus as a recruit.
A class of 2017 signee out of Harvey, Louisiana, Bailey was rated 3-stars and ranked the No. 20 Louisiana product, No. 48 cornerback and No. 492 prospect overall in the 2017 class on the 247Sports Composite. Bailey pledged to the Butch Jones staff on Sept. 15, 2016. After redshirting in 2017, Bailey appeared in nine games in the 2018 campaign as an outside linebacker and on special teams. He recorded six tackles in those games. Zenitz refers to Bailey as a reserve defensive back in his report.
