Tennessee fans on Twitter are done with Jeremy Pruitt following Georgia State loss
The Tennessee Volunteers were stunned by the Georgia State Panthers, 38-30, on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.
Falling one game short of bowl eligibility with a 5-7 record in 2018, Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt and his staff had their eyes on a possible bowl berth this year. Now 0-1 with a loss to a team from the Sun Belt Conference, their road just became much more difficult.
Entering the day as four-touchdown favorites, Volunteers fans wasted no time showing their disdain for how Pruitt’s team looked on Twitter.
And yes, Jeremy Pruitt should be fired. Right now before the post game presser. No excuse at all for this.

Jeremy Pruitt proved he is a perfect example of guys who are coordinators NOT head coaches.

Honest question: is Jeremy Pruitt fired today or tomorrow?

Georgia State was 2-10 last year and was predicted to finish last in the Sun Belt conference this year.

Fire Jeremy Pruitt immediately. Make a statement. Fulmer needs to take over. This is utterly embarrassing.

Jeremy Pruitt should not leave Neyland as the head coach today, fire him before he gets off the field.

To put it moderately, this was a less than ideal start for Pruitt. His Volunteers were outrushed, 213-93, and committed three turnovers.
Looking to get back in the good graces of fans, Pruitt and Tennessee host BYU on Saturday, September 7 at 7:00PM ET.
