Nathan Peterman’s first start as an NFL quarterback did not go well.

The Buffalo Bills benched Tyrod Taylor earlier in the week, electing to go with Peterman, who was a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, instead.

That decision clearly was not a good one.

Peterman’s stat line in the first half was incredible, and not in a good way. The former Tennessee quarterback at one point was 6-for-14 with 66 yards, zero touchdowns and five interceptions.

Five! Just about every incompletion was a pick.

The Bills’ decision to start Peterman over Taylor, who has thrown just three interceptions this season, may be the worst personnel decision an NFL team has made in 2017.

Update: The tweets above were sent out after Peterman threw his third and fourth pick. This article had to continually be updated as Peterman threw interceptions at a faster pace than we could type.

Tennessee fans have seen this before, though.

Remember Peterman against Florida in 2013?

In the Swamp just four years ago, Peterman went 4-for-11 with five passing yards, two interceptions and a lost fumble — all in the first half.

He was benched at halftime by then-head coach Butch Jones.
