Three Tennessee football players have been suspended from football activities.

The announcement comes hours after news broke that Martavius French, Isaac Washington and Aaron Willis were recently arrested by campus police for simple possession and drug paraphernalia.

Tennessee Athletics released a statement to multiple outlets.

“We are aware of an incident that occurred at Stokely Hall involving football student-athletes,” the statement reads. “The individuals involved in the incident have been suspended indefinitely from football activities pending further review of the matter by the university.”

The three players were among the five individuals arrested regarding a Tuesday evening accident at the Stokely Hall dorm on campus. French is a redshirt freshman who did not see the field last season for the Vols after signing as a 4-star member of the 2020 recruiting cycle. Washington and Willis are true freshmen from the 2021 class.
