Tennessee lands pledge from 5-star edge out of Alabama
Tennessee football added perhaps its biggest commitment to date in the Class of 2024 Monday evening.
The Vols beat out the likes of Alabama, Texas, Georgia and Florida for 5-star edge Jordan Ross, one of the top defenders in the country. Ross is considered to be the No. 12 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 and the No. 2 edge rusher in the cycle, as well as the No. 1 player out of Alabama.
He is now Tennessee’s highest-rated addition to the defensive line and the Vols’ highest-rated prospect in the 2024 cycle so far.

Ross has uber-impressive athleticism that could be put to use well in Tennessee’s LEO position. The rising high school senior stands at 6-4, 233 pounds and hails from Birmingham, Alabama.
The Vols have added 3 top 100 prospects in the past month alone: Ross, 5-star WR Mike Matthews and 4-star OL Bennett Warren.
