Tennessee is playing good basketball recently, as the men’s hoops squad has won 2 games in a row and has a 7-3 record in SEC play.

But, in Saturday’s win over South Carolina, forward Olivier Nkamhoua suffered an ankle injury.

Now, according to a Tennessee spokesperson, Nkamhoua is expected to miss the rest of the season (via 247Sports):

The junior forward is expected to miss the rest of the season, Tennessee spokesmanย Tom Satkowiakย announced on Monday.

โ€œAfter we got back to Knoxville, with further evaluation, that injury will require surgery,โ€ Satkowiak said. โ€œWith that particular type of surgery, it is unlikely that heโ€™ll return this season.โ€

Nkamhoua had started all 22 games for the Vols so far in 2021-22, averaging 8.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.
