Urban Meyer dominated the headlines on Wednesday following the explosive report by former ESPN employee and college football insider Brett McMurphy exposing the Ohio State coach as a liar in regards to what he knew about his assistant’s involvement in an alleged domestic violence situation back in 2015 during his recent Big Ten Media Days appearance. Meyer has since been put on paid leave by Ohio State.

In an interesting decision, the school elevated offensive coordinator Ryan Day to head coach with Meyer on leave. That decision came in spite of the fact defensive coordinator Greg Schiano has been on Meyer’s staff longer and has previous head coaching experience in college football and the NFL. Day has neither.

That decision has evoked the full interest of Vol Twitter and Tennessee supporters were all too eager to share their thoughts on the decision after many in the Ohio State and national media called out Volunteer fans for their reaction to the news that former AD John Currie attempted to hire Schiano to run the Tennessee program back in December. As it turns out, Ohio State doesn’t even trust Schiano to run its program and Meyer, the man who supported the defensive coordinator the most, did not report the fact he employed another assistant with a lengthy record of domestic violence.

There’s no chance Vol Twitter was going to let that one go unnoticed after all the negative comments directed their way back in early December.
