Former Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler was the talk of NFL social media when it was reported Sunday that he came out of a very brief retirement to sign with the Miami Dolphins and replace injured QB Ryan Tannehill.

Cutler was set to make between $400,000 and $450,000 with FOX Sports, but the Dolphins are paying him $10 million per year. I’d say he made the right choice.

Cutler’s wife, reality TV star Kristin Cavallari, chose Instagram as her method to chime in on the big news, wishing her husband good luck with his new team.

Cavallari has openly embraced being known as Mrs. Cutler to football fans, appearing in multiple episodes of the FX sitcom “The League,” a show which revolved around a group of Chicago friends in a fantasy football league.
