Vanderbilt basketball did something special last night ahead of Tuesday’s season opener against Presbyterian.

Commodores student manager Matthew Gang was brought out on the court and given a surprise: his own Vanderbilt game jersey ahead of his senior season with the team. Gang, who has a disability, is being praised for his dedication to the team and was noticeably excited when presented with the jersey.

The power of sports. Check out the awesome moment below:

The Commodores are one of just 2 SEC teams in action Tuesday night. Auburn faces off against Baylor in South Dakota just after Vanderbilt’s tip against the Blue Hose.

The Commodores will be led by Ty Lawrence and Ezra Manjon, who presented Gang his jersey in the above video. The 2 guards could form one of the more dangerous backcourt duos in the conference this season.

Let’s see what the Commodores can do.
