Report: Lane Kiffin's a frontrunner for 49ers offensive coordinator

Following a record-setting season with the Crimson Tide, Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is a frontrunner for the same position with the San Francisco 49ers according to NFL insider Adam Schefter:

Alabama OC Lane Kiffin is a front-runner for 49ers OC job. Colts special assistant to HC Rob Chudzinski also under consideration.

Under Kiffin’s guidance, Alabama’s balanced spread attack averaged 484.5 yards per game this season, the most in the Nick Saban era, and scored the most touchdowns (68) and total points (517) in the SEC behind Georgia.
