Opinions vary on former Alabama RB Derrick Henry’s NFL future.

Some see the Heisman Trophy winner as a slam-dunk success at the next level, while others have questions about his running style and how it fits in the league.

One thing few people question is Henry’s amazing combination of power and speed at the running back position. He’s built like a linebacker and runs like a track star.

ESPN’s Sports Science took a scientific look at that combination, and Alabama beat writer Alex Byington snagged the film:

In the next clip, Henry exhibits the strength to plow through 1,500 pounds worth of heavy bags, which as the show host points out, is more than the combined weight for the front-five for the Super Bowl-winning Denver Broncos defense.

If NFL teams put any stock into that type of analysis, it’s hard to see him slipping very far in this month’s NFL Draft.
