It’s hard to find a position at which Alabama hasn’t produced several coveted NFL draft picks in the last five years, but linebacker, defensive line, running back and defensive back are good places to start.

Remember the ’08 draft class? You don’t? That’s because the Tide didn’t produce a single NFL draft pick. It’s even more remarkable that the team won a national championship less than two years later considering that fact, and a reminder of just how low the Tide were at the end of the Mike DuBose/Dennis Franchione/Mike Price/Mike Shula era.

Alabama won’t revert to an NFL draft shutout anytime soon.

The Crimson Tide have produced more than seven NFL draft picks per year on average since 2010, following the team’s first national championship season under head coach Nick Saban. The program has produced multiple first-round picks in every draft starting in ’10 as well.

This year appears on track to be an average NFL draft class for Bama, with WR Amari Cooper and S Landon Collins as likely first-round picks, and a projection of seven drafted players.

Alabama has produced 53 NFL draft picks in the last decade:
