Top-ranked outside linebacker prospect Dylan Moses announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Twitter Sunday after taking an official visit.

Moses’ name first came into the spotlight thanks to both Alabama and LSU offering the Louisiana native before he even got to high school. The Tide landing the Pelican State native over the Tigers is a huge blow toward the race for the top overall ranking in 2017 recruiting class.

Moses tweeted that he enjoyed his visit with the Tide less than two hours before announcing his decision.

Moses also tweeted his excitement about playing with top-ranked 2017 prospect Najee Harris, who committed to Alabama in April 2015.

Moses, who decommitted from LSU in August 2015, was scheduled to announce his college decision in January. The linebacker currently rates as a five-star prospect and the No. 4 overall player for the 2017 national recruiting class. The IMG Academy senior also ranks as the No. 1 prospect from the state of Florida.
