You can add another name to the Tua Tagovailoa offseason hype train.

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah recently took some time to field questions from his Twitter followers. It didn’t take long before one Twitter user asked Jeremiah who wins the Heisman Trophy next season.

Jeremiah’s response came in just three letters: Tua.

We all know about the National Championship Game heroics that made Tagovailoa an overnight superstar around the country but the NFL Network analyst is likely basing his opinion on much more than just that one performance from last January. Jeremiah was on hand to watch Tagovailoa throw during the latest Elite 11 Finalists camp and he was impressed by what he saw from Alabama’s quarterback.

“His feet are so quick. He is phenomenal in his setup, he’s got a quick delivery, quick release,” Jeremiah said after viewing Tagovailoa throw in person in Los Angeles. “He throws with as much anticipation as any of the quarterbacks that worked out there… The anticipation jumps out at you. The velocity is plenty good, he was great on the move. To be honest with you, the biggest thing to me, he’s a little bit bigger when you are standing next to him than I thought he would be. He pretty much checked every box.”

Tua still has to win the starting job in Tuscaloosa but if Jeremiah is to be believed, it’s only a matter of time before that happens. Once he enters the starting lineup for the Crimson Tide, Jeremiah appears confident that Tagovailoa will not only excel but dominate the competition.
