Arkansas needs impact wide receivers, but 6-6, 202-pound Kendrick Edwards won’t be one of them.

Bret Bielema announced that Edwards is no longer a part of the Arkansas team and that he’s free to transfer to another program. Edwards played in 11 games in 2014 and caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, and he was figured to play a major role during the 2015 season.

Bielema didn’t elaborate on why Edwards was no longer a part of the team. He only said that it was for rules violations. He also added that Edwards’ issues “are not talent-based, they’re performance-based off the field.”
