Small hands for a quarterback areย a big deal at the NFL Scouting Combine. Unfortunately for former Arkansas QBย Brandon Allen, his don’t measure up very well.
So what can he do about it? Just make them bigger, of course.
According to Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports, Allen has spent timeย — two timesย a week to be exact — with a massage therapist in an attempt to increase hisย thumb-to-pinkie measurement.
โItโs obviously something I canโt control,โ said Allen, who stressed thatย the time with the masseuse is โto maybe get another 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch here or there because the muscles in my hands were really tight and this can loosen them up. I have long fingers.
โItโs worth a shot.โ
The thought behind aย larger hand is that it makes it easier to grip and throw in harsh conditions. However, Allen only fumbled four times while losing one last season with the Razorbacks.
