Though not as serious as first feared, Florida standout cornerback Vernon Hargreaves missed practice again Monday, still ailing from a bone bruise suffered last week during a mid-practice scuffle that involved most of the team.

According to the Gainesville Sun, Gators coach Will Muschamp said Monday that he expects Hargreaves to return to the field during the middle of this week.

Hargreaves limped off the practice field last Thursday, unable to put any weight on his left leg.

“I was told immediately it was a bone bruise,” Muschamp told reporters on Friday. “There was no, knee was stable and there was absolutely zero issues. Obviously in any situation when you deal with a joint, whether it’s an ankle, a shoulder, a knee, an elbow, you’re going to always get an MRI. But our trainer told me last night it was a bone bruise, and he’ll be day to day.”
